Tonight’s The Night The World Begins Again…

We needed a leader who was bold and passionate….
A leader who was intelligent and eloquent…
A leader who takes freedom and patriotism seriously…
A leader who cares about the rights of ALL people…
A leader who cares about the future of this country.

We needed a leader who could give us change.
We were given
Barack Obama.

I’m so proud to have voted in this election and to see that America saw past fear and bigotry and voted for Hope.

Better Days — The Goo Goo Dolls

And you asked me what I want this yearand I try to make this kind and clear
just a chance that maybe we’ll find better days
’cause I don’t need boxes wrapped in strings
and designer love and empty things
just a chance that maybe we’ll find better da ys

So take these words and sing out loud
cause everyone is forgiven now
’cause tonight’s the night the world begins again

I need some place simple where we could live
and something only you can give
and that’s faith and trust and peace while we’re alive
and the one poor child who saved this world
and there’s ten million more who probably could
if we all just stopped and said a prayer for them

So take these words and sing out loud
’cause everyone is forgiven now
’cause tonight’s the night the world begins again

I wish everyone was loved tonight
and somehow stop this endless fight
just a chance that maybe we’ll find better days

So take these words and sing out loud
’cause everyone is forgiven now
’cause tonight’s the night the world begins again

’cause tonight’s the night the world begins again

So proud to be an American-
Ali

Our country needed a change, and McCain was no enough of a change. We need new ideas, and that was Barack Obama.

It’s a great day for our country, and on January 20, 2009 that change beings in the Oval Office, the country, and the world.

    YES WE DID!

    I love you, Ohio.

    I love you, Florida.

    I love you, Pennsylvania.

    I love you, Virginia.

    I love you, Nevada.

    I love you – America!

    I’m so proud. I’m so excited. I’m so…exhausted.

The real work begins tomorrow. The real work gets even more real on January 20th.

    Yes. We. Can.

I can barely put into words how excited I am right now. I have never cried over the election of a President, not even Bill Clinton and I LOVE Bill Clinton, but I was so excited that like you said Ali, the country looked beyond bigotry and fear to what could be and actually voted for Barack. Now the only thing I have to say is PRAY that we get to keep him for all 4 years! Pray for him and his family because they will need lots of prayers. I finally feel some HOPE when I think about the future of our country, Bush had beaten it out of me but I feel it again. Thank you Barack Obama for giving me that again!
    YES! WE! CAN!!!
    Peace!
