Love Note.
Today is my 3 year anniversary with Mike. 3. Years.
It seems a lot longer than that.
We started out thousands of miles apart with crazy ex’s and drama all around us. We got through my divorce, living apart, the robbery, the unemployment, the general lack of all things good, car problems, people problems, asshole “friends”, asshole non-friends and every little thing in between.
And you know what? As much as all of that sucked a fat one, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Because even in the worst and most bleak of times, we were happy with each other. Mike can almost always make me laugh, no matter how bad I feel. When I was unemployed or barely employed he never made me feel like a failure, even though I felt like I was the personification of epic fail. He stood by me so many times when he could have just turned and ran back to Jersey. He’s my best friend and I don’t know how I could possibly go on without him in my life.
Finally, things are looking up for us. I have a great job, he’s getting lots of side work, we’ve moved downtown to a much bigger place with lots of character. It seems like we are finally heading in the right direction and it feels great.
Mikey, you are my everything! Even when I’m crazy and screaming and throwing a fit because I can’t find a shoe, or my hair won’t fix right or ya know, the sky is blue. There is never a day that goes by that I’m not thankful for you being in my life. I love you more and more every day.

Dianne: Yes, it’s our anniversary too! Remember the first moment we met face to face? In baggage claim screaming like dorks. Then I’m like “That motherfucker James shut my phone off!” hahaha
Meg: It was nice and relaxing. We are going out Friday night to celebrate, though! Dinner at Vincent’s the movie Leatherheads.
Sarah: I’m sure you are happy, too. Cuz when Ali ain’t happy she ain’t no fun!
Essy: No lie. I read your comment to Mike and he walked in the office and said “I am a gift from God” and did a wrestler flex. I laughed so hard. That’s the little things people don’t see that I love so much!
We need a camera crew to follow us around. It’d be the best reality show ever.
