My real love of Michael Jackson happened at Aly McLeod’s 8th birthday party. We watched the HBO special “The Making of Thriller” and I was hooked. I was 7. Over the next few years I collected music, books, t-shirts, posters, stickers… you name it. I saw every TV special and even learned the Thriller dance.

God, I remember throwing a HUGE fit and crying because my mom wouldn’t let me stay up and watch him win the 8 Grammy’s for Thriller. I cried and listened really hard so I heard it all.

I had this poster in my room. I’m not gonna lie- I talked to it. Shut your faces, I was like, 8!

I remember my friend Tony Poche loved him, too. We used to bring the Thriller tape to school and blast it in our jam-boxes while swinging and singing at the top of our lungs at recess.

Yes, I was a hard-core 8 year old.

I used to listen to Thriller over and over again. I had one of those little small, hand-held tape recorders and I’d play, rewind, play. And sing. And dance.

Man, could he dance. He moved like no one else. I remember seeing him moonwalk on the 25th Anniversary Motown special. It blew my mind. It was so awesome. I remember several people doing impersonations for the talent show. And I remember the dance school I went to did Thriller as the finale and had a guy dance to Billie Jean. T-boy Hamilton, I think it was. He was older than me- probably in high school. I remember being so impressed. I mean, I was 7, people. It was pretty freakin’ impressive.

Now, the yellow sweater poster was actually my favorite, but i didn’t have that one. I couldn’t find it. I did have it on a t-shirt, though. And a sticker. Tony had it and I was totally jealous. And she had a trampoline that was totally awesome.

I even had a t-shirt with him and E.T. on it. E.T. was my favorite movie, too, so of course this was a sign that we should be bff forever. Again, I was 8. Shut up.

God, I would dance for hours to his music. I also had Off the Wall and I bought the Jacksons Victory album. I had books on the family. I was 8 and read an actual adult biography on him. I had a cool picture book, too, from Weekly Reader that was awesome. I knew EVERYTHING. I used to be able to name all the kids, in birth order. Not even playin’. I read that his dad was abusive so I automatically hated him. And I was a Janet Jackson fan long before she released the Control album. I watched her as Penny, Cleo and Charlene. Penny in re-runs, though.

I was seriously ridonklous. I mean, I remember Kim Fields (Tootie from The Facts of Life) singing a song called Dear Michael on American Bandstand because she was such a fan. Hi, I’m crazy. Nice to meet you.

Mike teases me that when I like something, I can’t just enjoy it. I have to, like, bathe in it. Roll around the floor in it. Become one with it. I’d like to say he’s full of shit, but he’s not. I have to pretty much absorb all knowledge I can of something. This started really young, as you can see.

To this day, hearing Thriller makes me break out and dance. I was in NYC a few years ago with Mike and Dianne. We went to Planet Hollywood after drinking A LOT. We did it because we were too drunk to go find real food and it was right there. I get in the lobby and what’s on? The Thriller video. I danced along with it right there. It was a great moment for me and the other tourists hanging out down there.

The thing about Michael is that he is, undeniably, the Elvis of our time. His music and legacy forever changed pop music- how it’s created and marketed. He pioneered the music video. He could move like no one else. He had an amazing voice. He was epic and over the top and simply awesome. And like Elvis, he died young and unexpectedly after a very hard fall from grace.

No matter what happened in the last 15 years, the first 35 were spectacular. He was a visionary and a dreamer and an artist. He will surely be missed.

My ode to the King of Pop:

RIP.

With jello shots, cake, dildos… you know, the normal stuff.

Highlights from Rachel’s bachelorette party:

Jello shots – 42 to be exact.

Lawncare – see the video for a demonstration.

Boob grabs – a whole lot of ‘em.

Dancin’ – like fuckin’ fools.

Sexual charades – I got to do cunnilingus and reverse cowgirl! Well. Not do.

Trip to a sex shop – Goodies were purchased.

Sing-a-longs – The 80′s when wild in my house.

Cupcakes- more frosting ended up on people and my floor than in anyones tummy.

Loud-ass hollerin’ – crazy loud.

Being on the radio – this is becoming a theme with Rachel and me.

Gettin’ thrown out of a bar – oh yeah, first time for me.

It was great magical fun… Kinda like college again. (We won’t talk about how long ago that was for me.) I’ll admit that most of it is fuzzy as I polished off a bottle of wine, numerous jello shots and a few vodka cranberries at the bar. Mike made sure to tell me stories of how when I got home I was whispering about how good all the food was as I shoved it in my mouth and that I wanted to eat frosting off the floor. I don’t believe him, though. I’m lady. I don’t do those things.

I’ll leave it up to the other ladies to fill in any gaps.

We took quite a bit of video, too. Below you’ll get a sample. I’ll try to get everything edited this weekend and really give you guys a show.

For now, enjoy the pics.

Today no one was at work. Between the flu and vacations and sales training and whatever else it was a ghost town. So me and Neal (the two people with no vehicles) were all “Let’s go to lunch! And lets go someplace we have to drive to!”.

Fail.

So, Neal’s all “We can take the bus!”. Hi. I’m from Kingwood. We don’t have buses there unless you ride one of them fancy commuter ones or a school bus. I have never in the 23 years I’ve lived in Houston ridden the bus. So, Neal figures out the schedule and whatnot and off we go.

We wait. It was late. We start questioning ourselves. “Are we at the right stop? Should we go to one down the street? Are big losers?” Finally it came. And you know what? Not bad. Air conditioned. Took us almost right to the restaurant. We didn’t die.

We celebrated with fried pickles.

Biggest drawback? Waiting in the heat. Other than that, I’d do it again. I feel like such an urbanite! Even in a car-riddled city like Houston.

Other things:

Dancing with the Stars: I was totally sad to see Lil’ Kim go. She wanted to win so bad. And she came off so sweet! So not the ghetto, pastie-wearing ex-con I imagined! I think Ty Murry is adorable, but homey can’t dance. Come on, y’all.

Idol: WTF Paula? I equate that crazy shit with Brit-Brit’s VMA drug-haze performance from a couple of years ago. I LOVED PAULA back in the day. She had serious moves. I still think that quadruple switch-foot pirouette she did in the Cold Hearted video was one of the greatest dance moves, ever. See?

Her performance was so SAD! She had no precision, no pop. It was like she was sleep-walking through that. Sleep walking while lip-syncing.

And Gwen Stefani? I LOVE HER. Why did she do that? She’s grown-ass woman with two kids, y’all. It just looked like she was trying to re-live 1996. 13 years, man. That’s a whole sassy-mouthed teenager. You just can’t pull off “I’m Just A Girl” with a ridiculous faux-punk look at 39 with 2 kids and a designer clothing line complete with signature fragrance.

As for the actual contestants, I’m glad Gokey stayed even though he butchered both songs. I wish it would have been Chris going home, though. I liked Allison.

Also, I promised an Easter blog but it’s been so long I just can’t commit an entire one for it. So, we played games. We drank. We ate crawfish and alligator. MIKE ate alligator and didn’t hate it. (Crawfish is next!!! I will make him a Cajun before it’s over. Much to his chagrin.) The kids got tons of Easter goodies and went on an Easter egg hunt (in plain sight).

Here’s a few pics. Click for the full size! (Mike was the photographer so he’s not in any. Sadface.)

Also, I set up a Tumblr account if any of you darling readers have one, please add me: http://diva-ali.tumblr.com/

For those who don’t know what that is, lemme explain. It’s sort of in-between Twitter and a blog. You get a feed like Twitter and you have followers but you can post as much as you want in a post along with pics and videos- but only one per post. You don’t have comments or anything, though. You can have a small answer box, but it only has like 140 characters. You can “heart” each post if you like it and it’s called notes. And really that’s it. It’s just another time-suck and way to whore myself. I like it so far.

Alright, I’m out. I promise to blog more. PROMISE.

Hugs,

My co-worker Kevin’s job is to find awesome stuff on the internet. And when he finds truly superbly awesome stuff, he passes it out. I’m fairly certain he hit the jackpot with this one (even if he actually saw it on TV first).

This is an infomercial. Someone took all the good parts and chopped it down to a little over 5 minutes of fantabulousness. It has it all! Door breaking down! Hollerin’! Neat-o food appliances! Hip terminology like “jibba jabba”! And some BLING!

But most of all, it has THE man.

Yes, I’m talking about that hip cat from Rocky 3 and the A Team: The Great Mr. T.

I present to you, Flavorwave:

Also, Mike was in Seattle last night for business. Today at the airport he saw this:

In case you can’t make it out, this bitch and her man both have a perfectly ironed crease in their pants. AND she’s wearing stirups. STIRUPS. I wore those in high school and even then it was pushing the fashion limits for 1992. I just want to know what goes through people’s heads when they get dressed in the morning. And those fuckers where flying to Houston. Y’all know they live in Cleveland or Willis or some shit. They’s goin’ to the big city so they had to put on their good clothes.

Man, I’m such a bitch.

Sunday night Me, Mike and Kristen are going to see Chris Cornell at Warehouse Live. That’s a very intimate venue. I think capacity is like 1500. Y’all jealous? You should be. I get to go re-live high school and college when he kicks it old-school Soundgarden style. If he pulls out some Temple of the Dog (even without Eddie OMG Vedder) I might have to pee a little.

But I’ll tell y’all one thing. I won’t be wearing no fuckin’ stirups. That’s for DAMN sure.

Since my Buffy marathon, I’ve had a hankerin’ for some good old grungy 90′s alternative rock so I wiped my iPod and filled it the sounds of Nirvana, Candlebox, Counting Crows, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Foo Fighters, Stone Temple Pilots, Sarah McLachlin and Goo Goo Dolls. Seriously, the best era of music in my book.

Diggin’ out the docs and flannels…
-Ali

OH PS! Mikey got to ride first class the other day. He was all sorts of pumped. Check out his blog. Y’all should be reading it regularly anyway, bitches.

Sunday morning Mike and I got up at 5AM. Yes, 5. A. M. Anyone who knows us knows that we aren’t morning people, so it had to be something good, right?

We wanted to see a building go boom. Granted it was a small one, but still. BOOM!

As per usual here in the city of we-keep-nothing-sacred-and-preserve-nothing-for-historical-value of Houston, someone was tired of the 1960′s era Compass Bank building on Post Oak so it got blown to bits so they can build something new and shiny. Not that the bank building was any sort of remarkable architecture or had any historical relevance, but its just typical Houston fashion to tear down the old for something new and improved. It’s one of the few things that really bothers me about the city.

Anyhoo, in true Ali and Mike fashion, we filmed the whole thing. I must say, it was pretty cool. We waited for 2 1/2 hours for it be over in seconds, but it was way awesome.

Also, I’m all caught up with Bones and it is officially my favorite show on TV right now. I’ve got my DVR set so I can watch it weekly in glorious high-def. Plus I own season 3. I’ll be getting the first two eventually. (Hello? Birthday gift ideas. )

Dancing with the Stars blows except for Lil Kim providing me and Mike with the greatest TV line ever- “I first saw this show when I was in prison.” That says a lot about our culture and why the world hates us, I think.

American Idol- my niece loves that show. Sarah needs to upload some video of her watching it. She gets down with her bad self just like her Nanny. Also, GO DANNY!

Concerts! Concert season is beginning to shape up nicely. So far, we have tickets to see Bruce Springsteen at Toyota Center. Which, of course, makes Mike giddy.

We also have tickets to see Chris Cornell at Warehouse Live. So awesome! It’s a small venue only holding about 1500 so it should be a great show.

House of Blues is also turning out some great little intimate shows. We are planning to see Live and Gavin Rossdale there. Eeeeeeeeeeeee!!! I love Live. That’s gonna be a dope show because that venue is SUPER small. It’s like having a stage in your house.

Also, congrats to miss Nancy Jundi. She just took a position as VP of Sales and Marketing for a new company. Way to go, momma!

Mike is gone on business for most of this week so I’m going to eat crappy take out and absorb as much trash tv as possible… which isn’t all that different than when he’s here! I just don’t get the quality commentary from the Mike Peanut Gallery (consisiting of Mike and Shea. Yes, he speaks as though the cat is speaking. Our home is special.)

Singing the lyrics to “Runaway” by Live/Shelby Lynne all day…

My darling Misty did this on Facebook and I thought it was too cool to just put it there. The description: Think of 15 albums that had such a profound effect on you they changed your life or the way you looked at it. They sucked you in and took you over for days, weeks, months, years. These are the albums that you can use to identify time, places, people, emotions. These are the albums that no matter what they were thought of musically shaped your world.

Well, for me, music is a powerful memory trigger. A song can bring so much back, ya know? I love doing blogs like this. I know I’ve done several about songs specifically but not albums.

So, here you are: a little glimpse into my soul to see what makes me tick via pop music in chronological order.

Thriller- Micheal Jackson At 7 years old, I entered the world of fangirl. I had shirts, posters, stickers, books… I don’t know what else. I would listen to this album on my little silver panasonic hand-held tape-recorder over and over again.

I’d try to watch any and every appearance he made on tv… which in 1983 was kinda hard. No cable and no VCR. I don’t think we got one until the following year.

This was the year he won 8 grammies, too. This was also back when they’d let that telecast run as long as it wanted. OMG did I throw a fit because I wanted to stay up and watch it but my mom made me go to bed. I was so PISSED.

He was so bad ass back then. Who would have thought he’d have turned out to be a total freak.

Dirty Dancing Soundtrack- I was 12 and GOD did I love this movie. My CCD (that’s code for Catechism) teacher loved it too and they had 2 VCRs. Now, that was big shit back then. She rented the movie and taped it for me so that I could watch it over and over again. Sounds so weird now that you can buy any movie you want on dvd, but then you couldn’t.

The soundtrack had such great music- original stuff plus some oldies. I listened to it night and day. I also had some big-ass Patrick Swayze poster in my room.

Right next to Kirk Cameron. Weird, I know.

Ropin’ the Wind- Garth Brooks This was one of my country phases. Back when country was good and not a bunch of glamazon pop stars with slight twangs. Garth was my favorite by far.

This album, in particular, had the song Shameless. Yes, I know Billy Joel wrote it. But Garth Brooks gave it voice with a lot of emotion. And, I don’t know… I think I was about 16 at the time and boys hadn’t really started noticing me and all my friends had boyfriends… blah blah. I just wanted some dude to love me like the dude in that song loved his woman.

I found that, btw. His name is Mike. FACE.

Ten- Pear Jam I was introduced to Pearl Jam by my first real boyfriend summer before my senior year- Mark Ponter. He was older and way more into music than me and this was before this album broke big.

I was also in some sort of total depression then, too. Probably because he was an ass, but whatever. I would listen to this album constantly in my room. I felt, for the first time, that it was real music. Not bubble-gum pop (which I still love, btw) but soul-moving and meaningful. I still feel that way. They’ve never really had another album that is as good, in my opinion. Black is my favorite song which probably tells you where my head was at that time.

Journey’s Greatest Hits- I got into Journey because of the same boyfriend listed above. My uncle always liked them, but I never paid much attention to them before then. He would listen to it constantly. And as a result became hooked.

It was the first CD I ever bought. And since then I think I’ve owned about 3 copies of it. I listen to it on my iPod all the time. I love Steve Perry’s voice and lets be frank: the man can rock a mullet like no other.

I ended up listening to this cd for most of my senior year- specifically on Spring Break in New Braunfels at Julia’s parent’s house.

Steve Miller Band’s Greatest Hits- Yes, another greatest hits compilation. But it’s Steve Miller Band, man! That is summer chillin’ music. It just reminds me of staying up to the wee hours in the morning, just hanging. Not doing much of anything else.

Every summer for about 5 years we’d sit outside under the stars and see a Steve Miller concert. In between that, we’d just hang and listen to it. It was our road-trippin’ music. Our doing stupid-shit music. Our being-18-and-about-to-go-off-to-college music. It was the last time that I felt care-free and happy. I mean, I’m happy now, but growing up comes wiht a price. No more care-free for this chick.

August and Everything After- Counting Crows College and freedom. And with those things came worries. Worrying about money, grades, what I was going to do with my life. It was a fun time, but had I not had to worry about money so much and getting through it, I might have appreciated it more.

Everytime I hear this album I think back to frat parties, parties at the Rugby house, my first apartment, and watching Reality Bites and hoping to god I didn’t graduate and end up living like that.

It’s another one of those “real” albums. Like the music really means something and is emotional… not just music. And again, they’ve never made anything even close to as good as that one.

Fumbling Towards Ecstasy- Sarah McLachlin Now, Sarah’s voice is just so relaxing. And this album is so emotional. Me and Traci, my collage roommate would listen to this over and over again.

There is something very haunting about it. Her ethereal voice with strong synthesized drums and classic piano. I’ve never heard anything like it. It mellows me. I tend to put it on when I’m working and tuning out the world. It is probably my very favorite album, ever.

Every song is perfection.

Dizzy Up The Girl- Goo Goo Dolls Ah, the Goo Goo Dolls. I heart them so. This was their really big break out album, but not their first. I think, as of now, it was the pique of their success.

Its the album that was out when I became a geeky fangirl. I can’t even tell you how many times I watched their behind the music. I would keep up with them via their website so I knew every appearance they had on tv and I’d tape it. I made it a mission to meet them since I’d missed out back in ’96 (that’s a story for another blog, though). I finally met them in 2002 at a private show. Super nice and totally worthy of my fangirlness.

My Own Prison- Creed So, I know a lot of people hate this band. Do I care? No. From the moment I first heard this CD I was hooked.

I love Scott Stapp’s voice. I love that every song on this album is some sort of struggle with religion and morallity and understanding who you are and where you came from. It often boggles my mind when other people can’t listen and hear that, too.

I think they get dismissed because its cool to do so without taking the time to listen to them first. But for me, the music means something. What can I say? I’m a rebel.

So that’s my ten. I hope you liked my little peak into my soul. I hope some of you do the same thing- but I’m not tagging anyone.

Also, Mike knew I’d include 8 of the ones I chose. He knows me pretty well. I don’t know if I could pick out the ones he’d include, but he’s got some crazy music collection. I don’t think he could actually do a blog like this because his head might explode.

Now, I think I’m going to go listen to some music…

Boppin’ to the beat-
Ali

Who remembers Billy Hufsey?

Anyone?

Bueller?

Right, so lemme refresh your memory. Billy Hufsey is the teen-dream stud who played Christopher Donlon on the hit TV series Fame. He also had a brief stint on Days of Our Lives and a guest appearance in Married With Children.

Still nothing?

Come ON people! He even made an appearance as himself playing a Vegas pit boss in the highly acclaimed 2001 movie Tomcats starring Jerry O’connell and Shannon Elizabeth!

FINE. This is Billy Hufsey:

According to his website, he’s “… a major league world-renowned performer whose combination of husky pop-rock vocals with skilled dance moves and artful musicianship (he plays piano, drums, guitar, all three saxes and trumpet) puts him in a category of One.”

A category of ONE! ONE, y’all!

The reason he’s back on my radar is because he friended me on Myspace. And it’s been AWESOME ever since. His blogs are so amazing. His non-stop-bulletinfest simultaneously drives you batshit crazy while putting you to sleep. And the myriad of comments he gets from middle-aged ladies who are “sexy” is downright creepy.

I will say that he did age well. See?

He wants to get back in showbiz, y’all. He made himself a youtube promotional video with his agents contact info at the end and everything. It’s 9 minutes long with the majority of it being shot at an AA convention. I couldn’t make this shit up if I tried.

If you read his blogs, you too will realize that he’s making his dreams come true. He’s even helping other entertainers make their dreams come true by coaching them on what it takes to be a world-renowned megastar.

He’s even got a show coming up in a mall in North Olmstead, Ohio on Friday! Free admission! He’ll be singing Christmas classics (because its the best time to do so, according to his blog).

I’ve decided that it’s my mission to help Billy Hufsey make a comeback. I’m going to encourage you all to support Billy Hufsey and his dreams. I’m going to do my part by giving him “feedback” on all of his myspace blogs and bulletins. It’s the least I could do! I am in marketing, after all.

He’s even on Twitter! Follow him! http://twitter.com/billyhufsey

Billy Hufsey is making a comeback and I’m here to help. Y’all best reconize.

Initially we were going to Max’s Wine Dive, but since they can’t answer the phone or even be polite, we didn’t get a table. We ended up at Catalan, which as per usual had tremendous service and accommodated us with no reservation and all smiles. I’ll review that later though because this blog is all about BELIEVIN’…

This is just a preview of what’s to come. We had a blast and I’m very sad to put Dianne on a plane tomorrow.

1. On Facebook, I’ve been befriended by girls who I babysat. They are in thier mid-twenties with serious boyfriends and real jobs and all that crap.

2. Molly Ringwald is on a tv show where she plays a 40-something mom with a pregnant teen daughter. Remember when she was the teen queen who wanted Jake Ryan and was in desperate need of a hot beef injection? Me too.

3. Some of my high school friends have kids who are TEENAGERS. OMG I WAS ONE OF THOSE LAST TIME I KNEW YOU.

4. People (who are younger) talk about music at work and I have no idea what they are talking about. I used to be ALL up in that shit! What is a T.I.? When did I become a part of the Hot AC crowd? *gasp*

5. Teenagers tend to piss me off. Some people who know me (ahem Mike/Kristin/Sarah/Neal/Kevin/Kristy/Katie…) would argue that it’s not just teenagers, but whatever! I have absolutely no tolerance for their inane “I’m so cool” bullshit even though I KNOW I did that shit when I was their age.

6. I hate crowds. As much as I love concerts, I better have my own seat and personal space otherwise I will get IRATE.

7. Getting down on the floor is a major pain in the ass but that could just be because I’m fat.

8. I have zero patience for stupid. I never really had much before, but now it’s like, below sea-level. Things like fucking up a pizza delivery that is literally about 6 blocks from your establishment blows my mind. You’re bringing food to a huge office, for fuck’s sake!

9. I can’t stand my hair to be longer than chin length. I’m TOO OLD for long hair. WTF?!?!

10. My little brother got married. Hi. I used to change his diapers. He’s married. And a boss of some sort. I remember when I was the boss of him. I should try to kick it old school and make him lick the carpet or some shit. I’m 5′ nuttin and he’s 6’4″. Do you think that it would be an issue?

11. I drove past a club last Sunday and actually heard myself saying that they needed to turn the music down and how ridiculous it was. Granted, it was LOUD but still. OLD. This girl. Right here.

12. The Olson twins have been legal for a long time now. Remember when they were teens and perverts used to say shit about how they couldn’t wait for them to turn 18? Well, fuck that. I can remember, vividly, the first time one of them cooed out “You got it, dude!”. Fuck, I remember their first steps. OLD on top of OLD smothered in OLD gravy.

I’m sure I’ll come up with more over time and just throw them in blogs here and there for all of you snicker at.

So, my quiet weekend I planned? Wasn’t so quiet.

My darling friend Kristen called me Friday afternoon asking if we’d attend a party with her. In Missouri City. Full of people none of us knew. She met a guy she likes hanging out with and he was hosting this soiree. But she didn’t know anyone so she wanted us to go to. She rarely asks us to do stuff like that so we went to support our girl.

This party was supposed to be a block party called “Rock The House” and some some upcoming “band” playing that was supposed to have a song or something on the Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist soundtrack. So it sounded promising.

Party started at 7. We did NOT want to be the first people there so we had dinner at Pappasito’s first. Well, we had a little food with some billy-bad-ass margaritas. By the time we left, Kristen and I were on the road to serious drunk-assedness. Mike was driving and sober, as usual. We leave the great city of Houston and venture out to Missouri City.

And venture we did.

Y’all. I forgot that lil ol’ Missouri City was in the middle of bumfuck nowhere. And fuckin’ Mapquest sent us there on the scariest route possible. We ended up on some dark, desolate road that only had some weird little airport for crop dusters or some shit on it. Seriously, it was the type of road urban legends happen on. Any moment I fully expected a light in the distance to show up while a dude with a hook hand and peg leg starts beating on the roof of the car trying to get in. It was fucking freaky.

We finally get there around 10. And guess what? Party was over. We are trying not to laugh as we walk up to his house. There were still a few stragglers there, but the street was quiet as church. Did I tell y’all this was supposed to be a block party? Yeah. Called Rock The House? Yeah.

We go in to this pretty brick suburban home and walk into a time warp. Sort of. Kip Winger was blasting from the iPod and middle-aged people were rockin’ out. Like, all 6 of them. Literally, rocking out. Homeboy who owned the house was throwing up the rocker symbol and singing. (By the way, he was wearing a “Rock the House” concert Tee. Pure awesome.)

It was like being at a party with my parents friends, only instead of Motown it was hair bands. It was weird, because there like 10-15 years older than me which really isn’t all that much- but oh, my damn. The two women there were total cougars. Well, one was and the other was sort of a wannabe cougar. The actual cougar had long, blond, permed hair and a dress cut down to THERE. I saw underboob. Expensive underboob. It was awesome. Wannabe didn’t look all cougar’d up, but she was trolling for some young peen for sure. Those two were dancing in kitchen like they were in a music video and trying to flirt with “the band”. It was awesome wrapped up in awesome and tied with an awesome bow.

There was also some older dude who was so shitfaced that he kept telling us he was on his way out. He was still there when we left 2 hours later. He also had his hand on my ass twice and kept telling Mike “Oh Mike don’t like me” and thinking he was funny. He was looking for some poon while his wife was at home four blocks away.

Then there was the guy born in New Jersey in a town near Mike’s. he was going on and on asking Mike about places there. Places that don’t exist anymore. Because homefry moved from there in the 80′s or some shit. At one point he says, “Well it was there 30 years ago.” Mike’s response: “I’m not 30 years old yet.”

FACE old dude.

Now, for “the band”. It consisted of two little children/boy dudes. They just turned 21. They hangin’ with the old folks. They were a bazillion sheets to the wind. The cougars were nearly molesting them AND I never fully got this MTV movie story so I’m thinking its false.

So we got even more shit faced, made a lot of eyes at each other and stayed a couple of hours. It was fun in a weird time-warp kinda way. I mean, everyone was nice it was just totally bizarre.

We leave and successfully avoid scary urban legend road and make it home. Kristen and I then decide we are starving. So, back in the car and off to Jack In The Box where we drove Mike even crazier. I don’t know what all we said to the drive in lady, but I do know that Kristen announced that she wasn’t wearing a bra to everyone working that night. That’s my girl!

And to end this stunningly descriptive blog, I leave you with a photo taken by my very good friend Neal at Austin City Limits this weekend:

There are just things you never, ever do. I don’t want to see that much of any dude who isn’t about to slip me some hot Italian sausage, you know what I’m sayin’? GAH. I don’t even know what to do with this. Just enjoy it’s glory.
